Moms, trust me when I say I get it — you’ve got approx. 438,549,064,369 things on your plate right now, and now you’re trying to figure out how on God’s green Earth you can possibly add creating a digital product strategy to your already overflowing plate.
You’ve got a business dream, but between the kids, work, and trying to sneak in some self-care (what does that even mean anymore??), it feels like there’s not enough hours in the day to make it all happen.
The good news? You’re in the right place.
Coming up with a digital product strategy that fits into your life as a busy AF mom is the name of the game around here!
We’re talking about setting up a plan that helps you balance it all without losing your mind.
If you’re tired of hitting dead ends, check out Tech-Savvy Sales Academy, and let’s turn things around together!
One of my students, after multiple attempts at creating a profitable digital product, was feeling pretty defeated. She was almost ready to give up.
She decided to work with me 1:1, and the transformation was amazing.
She followed the exact steps that I have put into this course, made some simple tweaks to her strategy, and finally started seeing those “You’ve Made a Sale” emails start to roll in.
Now, she’s consistently making sales and finally has the digital product business she dreamed of.
Inside Tech-Savvy Sales Academy not only will you learn how to make the most irresistible digital products that will have people screaming “take my money!!” but you’ll also learn how to automate the back end of your business so that your business practically runs itself – giving you the flexibility to live your life on your own terms while still making sales on the daily.
Once you’ve got the product creation process down, then we’ll work on finding the ways to promote your products that are 1) where your ideal customers are and 2) feasible for you to be consistent with long-term!
Because developing a plan that works for YOU is a non-negotiable.
Creating a digital product business while being a full-time mom can be a wild ride!
You’ve got to balance work, family, and those rare moments of personal time, all while trying to build something that brings in extra cash.
That’s why flexibility is a non-negotiable.
You need a digital product strategy that allows you to work in pockets of time and handle all those curveballs that motherhood throws at you when you’re least expecting them.
When I first started, finding uninterrupted time as a mom of 3 kids under 8 was a huge challenge.
But by setting up flexible work hours and sticking to them as much as possible, I was able to make progress, even if it was slow at first.
Remember, it’s not about doing it “all” at once; it’s about doing what you can, when you can.
It’s also important to give yourself grace, especially when you’re first starting out.
Don’t compare your business to others.
The comparison “game” is not productive and does nothing but cause you to feel like you are not doing enough, working fast enough, hard enough, or that your product isn’t good enough.
Instead focus only on your own business – remember how much progress you have made from when you started!
It’s also important to dedicate time to focus on caring for yourself! Building a business is hard work.
It is easy to get swept up in your business and work endless hours, and often the topic of self care for mom entrepreneurs is not discussed.
Set achievement goals, and when you hit them, celebrate! Take yourself out to get your nails done when you complete your first digital product, or take your family out to dinner to celebrate your first sale!
The most straightforward digital product strategy for busy moms is to create digital products that don’t require a significant amount of time to create and/or maintain.
Think about simple products like e-books, printables, or mini-courses.
These are straightforward to produce and can be a quick win for your business.
The best part? You likely already have the skills and knowledge to create these products!
Leverage what you already know, your interests, hobbies, and skills, and turn it into something that can help your target audience.
Here are just a few examples of quick and easy to create digital product ideas for moms within the toddler parenting niche:
One of the biggest mistakes I see many mom entrepreneurs make when first starting out is setting goals that are too BIG.
Start small and aim for short-term, achievable goals.
Instead of focusing on the end goal, break each task down into the steps required to get to the end goal, and check each step off as you go.
That little dopamine hit you get when you check each step off your list helps you feel like you’re making progress, and serves the dual purpose of ensuring you don’t skip any important steps! ✅
I like to use S.M.A.R.T. goals within my business. Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, and Time-Based.
Focus on tasks that have the biggest impact on your business, rather than busywork.
Whether it’s creating your first product or setting up a sales funnel, doing the right tasks in the right order can make all the difference when it comes to successful Mompreneurship!
When you’re short on time, efficiency is everything.
One of the best business ideas for moms is batching tasks.
Tasks that are easy to batch include repetitive tasks like creating social media posts or writing emails — if you can get in the “zone” and get a large volume done in one sitting, this can help you get more done in less time.
This way, when you are “off the clock”, you can truly focus on your family without the stress of feeling like your business is slipping through the cracks.
Tools that automate and streamline your work are also lifesavers when it comes to efficiency.
From social media schedulers like Meta Business Suite, Later, or Hootsuite, to email marketing software, these tools are incredibly powerful and have the potential to save dozens of hours per week by automating multiple tasks within your business.
And don’t be afraid to delegate!
Even hiring a Virtual Assistant for a couple of hours per week can free you up to allow you to focus on creating your passive income digital products.
Marketing your digital product for sale can feel like a full-time job, but rest assured that it doesn’t have to be!
Repurposing content across multiple platforms saves you time and gets your product in front of more people.
And creating automated email sequences?
Total game-changer. 🙌
Focus your marketing efforts on the platforms where your target audience hangs out. For many of us moms, that’s likely Instagram or Pinterest.
If you’re unsure where to start, Tech-Savvy Sales Academy includes strategies on how to maximize your sales and marketing efforts.
Just like how above I recommended working efficiently by batching content, I also love using social media schedulers to pre-plan social media posts.
As a busy mom sometimes I get caught up in the chaos of motherhood.
But by pre-scheduling my posts for the week, I can rest easy knowing my social media is set for the week, even if I get one of those notorious motherhood curveballs of a sick kid, or a forgotten spelling test, or a flat tire on my car!
If you’re ready to create a digital product that actually sells — without sacrificing your sanity — Tech-Savvy Sales Academy is where you need to be.
